Garrett is a registered Landscape Architect with nearly 20 years of experience and over a decade designing in the Lowcountry. Originally from the Midwest, he earned his degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison (Go Badgers) before heading south to join the internationally recognized firm EDSA in South Florida. At EDSA he honed his craft working on high-end resorts, communities, and public spaces alongside some of the industry's most respected designers. His background brings a refined design sensibility, strong graphic communication skills, and a deep understanding of how to create spaces that are both functional and beautiful.

Since relocating to Charleston in 2013, Garrett has fallen in love with the Lowcountry’s natural rhythm—its marsh vistas, quiet inlets, ancient oaks, and historic architecture. He draws inspiration from the region’s layered textures and relaxed elegance, infusing each project with a sense of place and timelessness.

At Ink and Moss, Garrett leads with intention and collaboration, working closely with clients who appreciate good design, value craftsmanship, and seek a sense of ease and luxury in the way they live. His work spans from new construction to historic renovations—always guided by a belief that outdoor spaces should feel like a true extension of the home.

A devoted father to three—Aspen, Maverick, and Bodhi—Garrett understands the importance of designing spaces that are not only beautiful, but also deeply livable.
